Fact-Checking Policy

Condo and HOA coverage often turns on dates, definitions, governing documents and state law. CT Condo News checks those details before publication and updates pages when reliable new information changes the story.

What we verify

We verify names, dates, jurisdictions, association roles, court outcomes, bill numbers, effective dates, quotes, figures, fees, insurance terms and document references. Legal and financial statements are reviewed against primary documents whenever available.

Multiple-source confirmation

For contested claims, we look for confirmation from more than one reliable source: court records, statutes, agency notices, association documents, interviews, public statements, professional guidance or direct documentation from affected owners.

Social media and screenshots

We treat screenshots and social posts as leads until they are supported by original documents, direct confirmation or visible public records. Screenshots are checked for date, source, context and whether the underlying page still exists.

Reader feedback

Readers may send factual concerns to feedback@ctcondonews.com. Please include the article title, URL, specific sentence, supporting document and contact information for follow-up.
